| Junior Fleet Regattas |
|
For children who are a little more advanced, the Junior
Fleet is going to team-up with the sailing school to include junior
regattas in the program. The Junior Fleet kids can participate even
if they're not enrolled in the sailing school. If they're not enrolled,
there'll be a nominal fee to cover costs.
Parents sign-up their children for the regattas one regatta at a
time. There's no direct connection with the Saturday program but
the Junior Fleet will provide appropriate preparation for the regatta
kids during the Saturday sessions. Kids can do either Saturday sailing
days, regattas, or both in any combination. Kids must have their
own boats to participate in regattas. The fleet will need parent
volunteers to get the kids, their boats, a coach, and a coach boat
to each of the regattas on the schedule. |
