The fleet is at West River Sailing Club in Galesville, Maryland. Currently, we have 18 fleet members, and are looking for interested sailors. Our fleet is an addition to, not in replacement of, the already established and active Potomac River Albacore Fleet (PRAF). Our goal is to serve current active and future class members who live in the Baltimore/Annapolis area who wish to do some regular sailing, but do not want to make the drive to the Potomac River.
The Albacore has had the best participation of ALL one- design classes raced on the Chesapeake Bay for the past three years. Albacore attendance at CBYRA events has averaged well over 20 boats in the past two seasons. Come on down and we'll get you sailing!
