DESCRIPTION OF FLEET:
Fleet #14 is moored at Racine Yacht Club in Racine, Wisconsin, between
Milwaukee and Chicago on Lake Michigan. We had the honor and pleasure
of hosting the 1997 Internationals, which was well attended by a lot of
competitive and fun-loving 7.9ers.
Racine's secure harbor boasts a 900-slip marina among others along the
Root River, with just about any kind of marine service you'd need, along
with shops, restaraunts and plenty of night life within walking distance
of slips.
Racine Yacht Club is a low-key sailing club that hosts a number of
significant sailing events each year, including the annual HOOK Race, a
200-mile dash from Racine to Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.
