Welcome to the new Inland Lake Yachting Association website!
We're pleased youíve decided to visit us to learn more about
the Inland or check up on whatís new in our Association. 

We have incorporated a great deal of interesting information here.  It will be a
valuable interactive link between member clubs, members, and the ILYA.  We are
an association built on community, tradition, and great competition.
Now with our website,our members and those of you looking for
a new challenge can bring our community even closer. 

 
We are very proud of our 100+ year tradition of great scow sailing
and camaraderie and hope you will also catch the bug.
We are an association of about 45 clubs primarily in the Midwest,
although we also have a member club in Texas.
Our very active clubs conduct club racing weekly in their season. 

 
The scow is the focus of our organization, ranging from the sporty
single-handed 16 foot MC  to the extremely powerful 38' Class A.
Our adult classes also include the 16' M Scow, the 20' C Scow, the 20' I-20, and the 28' E. 

 
Our lively and competitive junior programs incorporate a full regatta schedule
in the double-handed 16' X Boat and the 8' International Optimist Dinghy.
We also conduct youth championships in the Laser and Laser Radial. 

 
Be sure to check out the trophy pages.  We are very proud of these wonderful
reminders of out tradition.  This is only the second time they have all been
together in one place!  Isnít the information age wonderful?
