2693 - Subtle Knife
It is with some regret that I have to put the knife up for sail. It is a combination of new job and not getting free weekends to put the time in to really make the boat sail as fast as it can go means I have to be realistic (and the fact that a great boat like she is needs to be sailed not sat in the dinghy park). Oh yeah and I also need to pay for the extension on the house!
Included with the boat are the following\
- New spinni sheets
- New main sheet
- 97 Fyfe main (used 4 times)
- White hyde jib (new for the nationals 2009 so used no more than 10 times)
- 2007 rules Hyde main.
- 2 Hyde kites (Deamon logo on them, one fine for club sailing, black logo one I used for 09 nationals and was good.
- 1 Black 2007 jib still in the box unused.
- 1 Black Hyde kite Still in the bag unused.
- Under cover
- Over cover
- Combi Trailer
- Orginal T foil rudder which has been tickled
- 1 Part made (might be fully made depending on how long the boat takes to sell) T foil (ceder core, carbon skin)
- C Tec Mast
- Selden Boom

Impressive turn of speed, especially in very light and heavier airs make this boat still extremely competitive. Has been sailed continuously for at least the past 5 years. Slightly over weight kevlar/carbon hull (<5kg) but completely bulletproof. Complete with Exotic carbon mast, suit of pinnell and bax sails (good condition main, 1 good jib, 1 club sailing standard jib, good condition spinnaker (one small patch repair)), 1 new Hyde Sails spinnaker, '97 rules mainsail (kevlar, bulletproof), assortment of '97 and '05 rules spinnakers. professionally built T-foil rudder, carbon sheathed cedar main foil, combi trailer, over cover, and trailing securement system. Recently re-roped fully. This boat is the perfect first or second cherub for anyone wishing to have a cheaper, competative, fully race ready boat. 2661 - THIS WAY UP
This Way Up used this year on our local inland lake which is proving to be too sheltered and unpredictable for the cherub to really get the most fun out of it. 97 rules Bistro Mod Hull, snout mod, transom gantry, Carbon/Glass/Foam Hull with internal spaceframe and no foredeck.
Aluminium Mast, Carbon Boom made from windsurfer mast, Spinnaker Pole. Masthead Kite. Fully Battened Main, Jib. Almost brand new Trapeze Harness, carbon rudder.
We repainted the hull and deck a few years ago and it is still in serviceable condition. All the rigging is complete and works well. This boat would be a great introduction to Cherub sailing or would form an excellent platform for some serious modifications as the Bistro hull is still competitive.
The boat also comes with Cover, Launching trolley and Road Trailer, the road trailer is usable and we have just re-tightened and re-greased the hubs and driven 100 miles with it ok.
The Boat is currently at my parents in Bristol and you are welcome to come and view.
I would love to keep this boat but my OH is a very novice sailor and it scares her!!!
£1200 or very near offer - Would consider a swap for a Laser.
