Skip Kovacs' Paterson Mk 7

This boat is being built in the USA - the first for quite a few years. Vacuum bagged carbon over male mould, built 2001.

Placing the breather for the vacuum. 
Bagging the hull. This was then repeated twice more to bag on flair and topsides foam, and then bottom and gusset foam. 
Vacuum Bag over the bow area 
Shell from bow ready for outer skin. Guidelines used to get the bottom symmetrical. 
Foam shell ready for outer skin. 
Bow area ready for outer skin. Diagonal lines guide fabric overlap. 
Flares and mid section before outer skin. Note ply pad at front of flair for shroad loads, and guidelines for UD. 
Carbon, finishing glass, peelply, release film, breather/bleeder and bag on. Bagging down. 
Vacuum bag the bow area. Dark dots show excess epoxy vacuumed out. 
Ply bowsprit/snout support strut. This will get some UD and glass later. 
Complete Shell off mould. The next job is the false floor. 
Completed shell again.
