Portsmouth SC Cherub Reunion

Portsmouth Sailing Club intends to hold a Cherub Reunion Evening in the autumn, probably on Saturday 25th October 2003, at the Clubhouse in Bath Square, Old Portsmouth. This is for anyone who owned and raced a Cherub in the 1960s, 70s and early 80s and was either a PSC member or took part in Cherub racing in the east Solent area during that time. The Club has recently begun to gather and record information about it's past history and thirty years ago Club members were prominent in designing, building and racing Cherub dinghies.

Chris Forman has been able to compile a list of 39 past and present members of PSC who owned Cherubs and another 40 or so owners who were members of other Clubs in the Solent area and/or well known then to local owners.

The event will primarily be a social occasion but we also want to complete compilation of names of owners, their crews, sail numbers, design/gear innovations, builder (especially if in the loft at the Club!), main racing achievements, etc. Any photographs that can be loaned will be copied and returned.

We readily acknowledge the benefit gained by being able to see the championship reports and many other pages in the 'History' section of the Cherub UK website.

Anyone interested in participating in the reunion evening should please contact:
