I have noticed from Weston's website.

that the easter grand slam is on the 2nd -5th April.  A good event whic hwe are planning to do.

they also have a Moth, contender, Int Canoe and Cherub open on the 14th -15th August.

I hope to be able to do that one too.

Wondering why no one else has spotted it and posted them up here.

We probably won't make Easter due to a big family anniversary but I expect we will be at the one in August.  Sounds like a good tune up for the Nationals.

I hadn't planned for the August event to be part of the Travellers trophy, but if general consensus is that it should be, the results can be included.

I realise that the proximity to the nationals could reduce turnouts and split the fleets so it is probably not a good idea to make it a part of the traveller trophy.

However i think we should advertise it on the site and encourage those who want to sail it to do so.

Weston has been a long standing supporter of the class and it may not be taken well if we do not advertise it.

Probably not us.  We have identified why our boat is leaking - splits through the carbon around the wing/ hull joint.   Usagi is off to the repairers tonight so he should be fixed up by the Nationals but probably not by Weston.

Our 'B' rig worked a treat in Garda, we were getting upto 10knts upwind boatspeed with an old RS200 main up - and our highest ever speed down wind!

Am I to assume this is a negative? I ought to open a dialogue with the club.

We are unable to attend this one now due to a clash with a stag do and a close friend's birthday party.

Stu it may be worth letting Weston know that this year the event is unlikely to attract many cherubs being so close to the nationals.

However we would be interested in sailing there again next year if they could contact us with proposals for dates.
