Arrangements for Blast - 17-19 Feb.

I'm posting this so I don't have to repeat myself lots. Sorry if it seems a bit regimented. I don't usually get this bossy/organised. Honest.

Friday:
For those of you coming Friday night, there will be food if you want it. Unless you shout now (ie in the next couple of days) it will not be vegetarian or conform to any special requirements, but I'm happy to sort something out if asked nicely - so let me know. There are takeaways on the High Street, but they are not highly recommended.

Parking may be tight, especially if you have a  boat with you, but we'll make arrangements with neighbours etc, so before you come down the lane to our house with a boat please give me a call and we'll let you know where to park (see directions below).

Saturday:
Plan is to head to Chew in the morning for some sailing, boat/crew swapping etc.
Back to ours for BBQ later. I have ordered quite a lot of sausages from the (very good) local butcher and we'll supply  essentials - charcoal, bread and I suspect some local brew. If you want something other than a sausage, feel free to bring your own stuff to BBQ (butcher open Saturday morning and a 5 minute walk away, likewise a reasonable-sized tesco).

Sunday:
Some more sailing.

Directions:
Our house - 1 Elmhurst Villa, Bristol Road, Keynsham BS31 2BG.
If you have satnav it will probably take you to Trescothick Close which is the road next to ours. Google maps is pretty accurate though http://g.co/maps/anptr. If you end up at  Trescothick, you need to turn round, turn right at the mini roundabout and turn immediately right again down the little track. We are the second-to-last house (the first of the semis). Call me if you get lost 07736 390013.

Chew Valley Sailing Club
BS40 8XN
Chew is directly South of Bristol. It is a 15-20 minute drive from our house.

Formalities done - really looking forward to seeing you all.

Just wondering before I go and buy train tickets. Is anybody coming near/past/from Reading or Henley-on-Thames and would be willing to give me a lift?

I'm sure I can chip in for fuel if needed.

Cheers

I'd suggest hanging around in Bristol for the day and then getting the train out to Keynsham in the evening?

Keynsham is 6 min by trian or a £3 bus trip form Brisotl or Bath

Hanging around in Bristol could be a good idea- I've got a few mates at uni there so might stop by...

Late saturday doesn't really work for me but thanks for the offer.

Sam and I will be going past reading on our way to H&R's on Friday evening after work. Might be quite late by the time we get to Keynsham though as Sam has to come out of the city to meet me after he has finished work. Anyway you are welcome to a lift.

I'm planning on being at the blast this weekend. Will be arriving at some point on Saturday most likely late afternoon early evening. Could I have a bit of floor space please Hayley?

Stu, Nick and Jo, warm floor space is available, you'll just need your own sleeping bags/airbeds etc.

Hi Hayley,

3 for the BBQ...Gill, Nigel and Sam. We will bring some tasty morsels to put on the charcoal. Will contact you if there are any hiccups in planning.

We will go to Chew for about 11am...probably from seeing our friends near Midsomer Norton

Can't wait...
