What? A blast (plus the option to join in club racing)
Where? Chew Valley Sailing Club (near Bristol)
When? 18/19 February 2012

OK, so it's sort of Valentines weekend and you know I like a theme  Kiss.
Hopefully, given the vast quantity of rain that has fallen in the last few days, Chew reservoir will be filling up nicely. Suggestion is for a gentle pre-season warm up, get some pics for the dinghy show, blow away a few cobwebs, etc etc.

Accommodation is on offer at ours (15-20 mins drive from the club) in the form of floor space for most people and there may even be a bed or two to be bagsied, decorating progress permitting. There are plenty of other options including a pub/B&B opposite our house at £25 per head.

So who's coming?

Born Slippy, EJ, Sgt Murphy and possibly Suicide Blonde and/or Fubar will be in happy attendance. So if anyone fancies coming along without a boat there'll be something to sail!

This is also going to coincide with the "first BBQ of the season" at ours in the evening for anyone who simply fancies dropping in for a sausage or a beer.

Jo and I are keen but we will need to borrow a boat as Madge will be no where near ready.

Hi,

I'd love to come if somebody needs crew then I'd be around to do that.  Or if somebody would be willing to lend us a boat that would be great too!

Cheers PHS

The joy of blasting days are that there will be boats and rides in boats available. Looking at the list above I can see plenty of boat actively seeking crew/helm.

Anyone else reading this please feel welcome to come along, it would help if you post or PM first so we know to look out for you on the shore....

I've cleared the diary so hopefully I'll make it to try out  a Cherub. . .

Seeing as Chew Valley is a good 2. 5 hours away (via public transport) can anybody recommend a CHEAP B&B (student. . . )?

Thanks,
PHS

We can't commit at this stage it's soon after Kirklet's planned apperance but I can highly reccomend Chew as a venue to ease youself back into cherub sailing. I or we may make an appearance at some point during the weekend.
