Haven't booked anywhere yet. Have had a quick look and finding a flat/cottage close to the club is proving difficult.

I've stayed in a place called the old school appartment. The site has two properties one good size and a one bed annex with bunk in the main room it's has plenty of outside terrace space. http://www.oldschoolapartment.co.uk/page0.html it's easily walkable to the sailing club

Not too late to stay there again Danny, be great to get 3 banshees at one event ... never before seen !

Go on, Go on, Go on, Go on, Go on, Go on, Go on, Go on.

Dont even think about excuses to do with recessions, unwilling family members, work or the like  Grin

C'mon Dan it would be just like sailing at Banbury again with Geoff and Steve. We could even re-create the three man lift and Spoon fight.

+1!

What a location for a blast in such a great vessel. I'll be there with family also. If you ask me nicely I might be able to provide a helm/crew for you.

We will defo be there.  No accom yet so if anyone has room for a very organised housemate (and me!) let me know.

I've heard the waves there can get quite big given the right conditions.  Should be 'interesting.......'

Interesting logistics for me to get This Way Up there, but fairly likely to be there, maybe with a crew.    Probably camping...

If you can locate a double stacker we could tow TWU there and back for you - if as I think you keep the boat near Fleet?

That would be handy! Thanks for the offer,  I'll see if I can find one..   A friend had a decent 200 one hanging around, should fit....   Although, if he can crew I might just rope him in to drive and borrow his trailer..  Roll Eyes

Excellent meeting with Pwllheli Sailing Club at the Dinghy Show, I think they are going to put on a fantastic event. Details will follow, but the highlights are :-

 - Monday evening - commodores reception
 - Tuesday evening - Free
 - Wednesday evening - Baach BBQ and beach olympics
 - Thursday evening - AGM
 - Friday evening - 3 course dinner with prizegiving

The club will provide us with details of local attractions etc for families, and we're enquiring about the possibility of a (weather permitting) spectator boat. The facilities are fantastic, the beach looks fantastic and the waters are fantastic; get your holidays booked now !

I can confirm that it is fantastic. We've got our accommodation booked, holiday booked and am ticking off the days till we head up there.

Do we know what time the races will be? I want to do a dawn raid on the snowdon summit before racing one day!

We will be having further discussions with the club to determine details such as this.  I would anticipate that the start times will be in the NOR which should be available in a month.
